During the sixties, the Fortini Family utilised their granfather Alcide's cellar to open the Taverna dello Spuntino. Restaurant which inspired the entire family - third generation included.

The Locanda dello Spuntino was later created to complete the high level of hospitality and service offered. It features ten delightful guestrooms and suites, each carefully decorated with antique terracotta floor tiles, rich wood finishes, gorgeous fireplaces, travertine marble bathrooms featuring splendid mosaics, soft tones and natural fabrics to create elegance, warmth and comfort.

The rooms are each named after original grapevines of the Castelli Romani, a famous wine-growing area even during ancient times; Tor de Passeri, Usignola, Trebbianella, Garofolella, Fragoletta, Cigliegiola, Principessa, Bambinella, Malvasia, Pizzutello; memories of the past to keep local traditions alive. All guestrooms are elegantly decorated and equipped adjustable air conditioning, direct dial telephone, mini bar, safety deposit box and modern facilities including Pay and Interactive TV, Internet with ADSL connection.
